Collaboration between Jakob Law Firm and Nakaso Law Office in Japan
On 22 August 2016, Lawyer Inés Jakob visited her Japanese colleague, Lawyer (Bengoshi) Yasutomo Nakaso of Nakaso Law Office, at his firm’s premises in Osaka, Japan. The visit was marked by the formal signing of a cooperation agreement.
Through this partnership, both firms will combine their legal expertise and close collaboration to support German and Japanese businesses efficiently and competently in cross-border matters involving import, export, and transport.

Cooperation with Chilean Law Firm Acuña Silva Asociados in Santiago, Chile
In summer 2016, a cooperation agreement was signed between Jakob Law Firm and the Chilean law firm Acuña Silva Asociados, based in Santiago. This close collaboration enables us to provide even more efficient and timely legal support to both German and Chilean businesses engaged in international trade, particularly in the areas of import, export, and transport.

We are pleased to announce our cooperation with SAIKYO PATENT OFFICE in Osaka, Japan. Through this partnership with experienced Japanese patent attorneys, we are now able to offer German businesses an even broader and, above all, more time-efficient service in the fields of intellectual property and industrial property rights.
SAIKYO PATENT OFFICE handles the registration and management of patents, trademarks, designs, utility models, and industrial designs in Japan on behalf of German companies, and represents them in all legal matters and proceedings relating to patent and trademark law in Japan.
As a law firm specialising in import and export matters, we support German companies in establishing trade relations and entering the Japanese market. In close cooperation with SAIKYO PATENT OFFICE, we ensure that new products are registered in Japan before export and that industrial property rights are claimed and enforced effectively.
We collaborate with Ms Masako Mitsch, B.A., who has many years of experience in German-Japanese intercultural communication. She is also a lecturer at the Institute of Japanese Studies at Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nürnberg.
