Law Firm for Import, Export & Compliance

Legal Expertise Meets Technical Insight

Lawyer Inés Jakob

Founder and Owner of Jakob Law Firm

While attending Johannes-Scharrer-Gymnasium in Nuremberg, I spent a year abroad from 2000 to 2001 at a Japanese high school near Osaka in Japan as part of the AFS intercultural exchange programme.

During my law studies, I completed an internship with the German Armed Forces in the area of military disciplinary law.

I studied law at Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nürnberg, specialising in Private International Law and EU Law. After completing my legal traineeship at the Higher Regional Court of Nuremberg-Fürth and gaining experience in a commercial law firm, I founded Jakob Law Firm in Nuremberg in 2015.

From the beginning, I focused on international trade in goods in all its legal and practical dimensions. I subsequently completed specialist legal training courses in International Business Law and Transport and Freight Forwarding Law.

Over time, my legal work led me to develop specific knowledge of technical products and trade procedures. In 2017, I qualified as a certified Dangerous Goods Safety Adviser (road and rail transport) and became an Accredited Incoterms® 2010 Trainer, followed by accreditation for Incoterms® 2020.

With my expertise and experience in import and export, I support companies not only in an advisory capacity, in court or in negotiations, but also through numerous publications and teaching activities. I lecture in the training programmes for logistics supervisors at the Nuremberg Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IHK Nürnberg für Mittelfranken) and as a trainer at the IHK Würzburg-Schweinfurt.

As a lawyer, I have many years of experience in drafting international sales contracts, handling objections and appeals, optimising customs processes and export controls, and representing clients in criminal proceedings.
